Obituary

Rose Middlestead, 84, Jamestown, ND died Tuesday June 9, 2015 at the Jamestown Regional Medical Center in Jamestown.

Rose Geiszler was born August 4, 1930 at Kulm, ND, the daughter of John and Fredericka (Walz) Geiszler. She attended school near Kulm and in 1946 she moved with her parents to Merricourt where she received her elementary education.

She and Daniel Middlestead were married October 12, 1947 at Merricourt, ND. They made their home on the farm until 1984 when they moved to Ellendale. In 1990 they moved into Jamestown. Following the death of her husband in 1990, she continued to reside in Jamestown.

She was a member of the St. Paul's United Methodist Church, served as a Sunday school teacher, was in the church choir, and also the VFW auxiliary.

She is survived by her children, Arnold (Marlane) Middlestead, Edgeley, ND; Shirly (Larry) Genter, Jamestown, ND; Sharon (Bruce) Ulmer, Merricourt, ND; John (Lori) Middlestead, Argusville, ND, 9 grandchildren, 17 great grandchild, 1 sisters, Violet Reinbold, Aberdeen, SD.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, 1 son, 1 daughter, 5 brothers and 1 sister.

Funeral Service - 10:30 AM Monday June 15, 2015 at St. Paul's United Methodist Church, Jamestown, ND, with Pastor Arlyn Coalter, officiating

Interment - Merricourt Cemetery, Merricourt, ND

Visitation - 1:00 - 8:00PM Sunday @ the funeral home
Prayer Service - 7:00 PM Sunday @ the funeral home

Shirley, I am so sorry to hear about your mother, it is always hard to lose your Mom. When I read that she had moved to Merricourt, that made me think about you (& my lost Christmas items I had bought at the Jms Civic Center craft sale & had left at your aunt's booth & she found & returned - so many years ago).
