David Denning, 60 of Gackle, ND died Wednesday April 27, 2016 at his home in Gackle, ND.

David was born March 8, 1956 at Gackle, ND, the son of Wilbert and Nedina (Krause) Denning. He attended school and graduated from Lehr High School in 1974.

David was employed by Lehr Elevator and surrounding farmers, then worked in the Oil fields in Williston, then moved back to Gackle working for Wes Poykko as an electrician, then construction for family business Denning Construction, and currently was working for Direct Electric.

He is survived by his parents, Wilbert and Nedina; 3 brothers, Dean (Michele) Denning, Fullerton, CA; Danny (Bonnie) Denning, Gackle, ND; Donavon (Jackie) Denning, Fargo, ND; nieces and nephews, Kristen (Ben) Larson; Jessica (Chad) Coreson; Wesley (Briana Coury) Denning; Jennifer (Justin Haadem) Denning; Elizabeth, Nathan, and Jacob Denning; great niece and nephew, Jayden and Savannah Coreson.

He was preceded in death by his nephew, Jay Denning.

David loved to garden and visit with people. He loved spoiling his nieces, nephews and family.

Memorial Service - 11:00 AM Thursday May 5, 2016 at the Emmanuel Lutheran Church in Gackle, ND, with Pastor Rick Steele, officiating

Prayers and condolences to the Denning family. I was a high school teacher and coach when Dave was a student in Lehr. I remember him as one who could always get in the middle of students that fought or argued and smooth things out. When he finished they forgot what the disagreement was about. Soon we called him the peace maker. He was good at it and all liked him. God speed David.

When I think of David the first thing that comes to mind is how much he loved his nieces and nephews and how good he was to them. May God's love comfort you during this difficult time.
