George Barron

Condolences to the Barron Family - Mr Barron was was my high school chemistry teacher and I always thought so highly of him. He pushed us to do our best and taught us so much. I didn't realize this until I got to college and because of him, college chemistry was a breeze. He was a great teacher!

Only had a chance to visit with your Dad a few times, but always found him to be thought - filled. I enjoyed listening to him. Our prayers are with all of you during this season of your life.

My condolences to all Mr. Barron's loved ines. Such a simple obituary for such an outstandingly rigorous teacher. Taking chemistry from George Barron was one of the most deeply humbling intellectual experiences of my high school career. He inspired generations of learners bright enough to appreciate the boot-camp-like training he led his students through to arrive at a scientific way of looking at the world. His contributions to local genealogical research during his retirement are legion as well. He was a true old-school teaching hero.

George was one of my mentors at Jamestown Public Schools. He put up a daily message in his classroom that led me to do the same in mine. He is one of the greats.

George was a special. A very quiet mentor for me.
