Obituary

Alvin W. Entzi, 85, Fredonia, ND died Thursday morning January 4, 2018 at the Jamestown Regional Medical Center in Jamestown, ND.

Alvin Entzi was born October 19, 1932 and raised in McIntosh County the son of Edward Entzi and Emma (Ketterling) Entzi.

He and Irene Lux were married November 13, 1951 at Ashley, ND. They lived with his parents on a farm 6 ½ miles SW of Fredonia for 5 years before moving into their own house on the farm. Alvin enjoyed the farm, Black Angus Cattle, and John Deere Tractors. He and Irene celebrated 66 years of marriage in 2017.

He was a member of Martin Luther Lutheran Church in Fredonia, ND having served on the board. He also was a member of the Soil Conservation Service for 15 years.

Surviving are his wife Irene, son Randy Entzi, Bismarck, ND; son Rory (Melissa), Edgeley, ND and their children, Connor, Kate, Norah and Drew; grandson Jamie (Kristi), Mandan, ND and their children, Courtney and Andrew; 2 sisters, Edna Weispfenning, Fredonia, ND and Etala (Darrel) Ruff, Willmar, MN.

He was preceded in death by his parents, one son Rodney, 1 brother Harold and 2 sisters Esther Fuchs and Adeline Fuchs.

Funeral Service will be at 11:00 AM Wednesday January 10, 2017 in the Martin Luther Lutheran Church in Fredonia, ND with Rev. Mitch Smith, officiating.

Prayer Service- 7:00 PM Tuesday at the Church in Fredonia.

Visitation - 9-2 Tuesday at the Funeral Home in Jamestown and 5-7 Tuesday at the Church in Fredonia

Interment will be made in the Lutheran Cemetery at Fredonia, ND

So sorry to hear of Alvin's passing. He was a great man that loved to talk about Angus Cattle. We will truly miss visiting with him at all the bull sales each year. He will definitely be sitting upstairs keeping watch over those sales. Our prayers to the family in this time of sorrow.
