Cleone Genre

Cleone K. Genre, 86, passed away in the early morning of October 21, 2025 at Eventide, Jamestown, after a battle with dementia.

Cleone was born May 8, 1939, to Harry and Inez (Crawford) Syverson, Courtenay, ND. She attended Courtenay Public School. In May, 1957, she married Don Schuchard. They raised four children: Jeff (Sandy), Jamestown; Bob (Lori), Jamestown; Lisa (Larry) Skiftun, Fessenden and Danny (Denise), Carrington, ND.

In 1980, Cleone moved to Carrington, where she cooked at Carrington High School and Chieftain Restaurant. In November, 1983, Cleone married Dan Genre and resided in Carrington for several years.

Cleone's passions were playing Bingo, rummage sales, cooking and baking. She love decorating wherever she lived.

Cleone loved her family and is survived by her four children: Jeff, Bob, Lisa, and Danny; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; brothers, Larry and Dean.

She is preceded in death by her mother and father, sisters, Vivian, Bonnie, Delores, Marjorie, and Joyce; brothers, David and Bob; daughter-in-law, Sandy Schuchard and grandsons, Derek and Darren Marchus.
