My sincere condolences to the Splonskowski family. Kyle and I grew up and played sports together and I graduated with his daughter-in-law Tressa; both great people. My first memory of Mr. Splonskowski is telling me not to throw my baseball bat after swinging when I was probably 7 years old, and he was always a positive presence thereafter at all our tournaments. Later he became my guidance counselor and later yet, a good friend to my dad at the coffee table. It's an understatement to mention that his influence, along with other dads like him being around during my formative youth, made us who we are. He will be missed.

I was one of John's students at JHS. Class of 1981. I remember him fondly and offer his wife and family my heartfelt condolences. "Blessed are those who mourn, for they shall be comforted."
