Sally Humes, 49, Jamestown, ND died Thursday October 23, 2008 at her home in Jamestown, ND.

Sally Graffius was born May 23, 1959 at Clearfield, PA, the daughter of Melvin and Laura (Stuckey) Graffius. She attended school in Pennsylvania and Ohio.

She and Clayton Humes were married August 24, 1990 at Austintown, OH. They made their home in Jamestown, ND, where she worked as a secretary for Goodrich for 10 years. Following the death of her husband, July 5, 2005, she continued to reside in Jamestown.

She is survived by her 2 sons, Ken (Alecia) Grigsby, Rugby, ND, Jason (Brandi) Grigsby, Masury, OH, 2 grandchildren, Alexis and Ryan, her mother, Larua Graffius, Clearfield, PA, 3 brothers and 7 sisters, Mary Ann Weil, Jerry Graffius, both of Columbia, OH, Carol Johnson Youngstown, OH, Linda Fulmer, Clearfield, PA, Darell Graffius, Youngstown, OH, Tim Graffius, Ellsworth, OH, Betty Buck, Clearfield, PA, April Holtzman, Tampa, FL, Lori Tyrell, McCloud, OK, and Tammy Lindolf, Youngstown, OH.

She was preceded in death by her husband and her father.

There will be a visitation and social gathering for friends and family from 2:00 P.M. - 5:00 P.M. Monday October 27, 2008 at the Haut Funeral Home in Jamestown, ND.

My thoughts and prayers go out to the family. Sally was a very special person. Always full of smiles. I always got a kick out of the way she said my name... Joooolee..and then she would laugh. She had a way of making a bad day feel better. She will be greatly missed by everyone.

I would like to express my deepest symapthies for the family of Ms Humes. Growing up with Ken and going to his house many times, his mom was a fun person to be with. She was very energetic, funny, and great to talk with. I also enjoyed her presence when I was working at Goodrich over the summers during my college years. My thoughts and prayers are with Sally's family. Sally was very special and always good for a shared laugh - especially when you needed. The irony of finally figuring out that Sally from work was the mother of Ken, my college project partner, and that she specialized in garlic toast "flambe"

My sympathies go out to Sallys family. There are no right words to say except that I am sorry for the loss that you are feeling. Hold on to the memories you have,they can never go away.Growing up with sally as my sister in law i will remember laying out in the sun with her...the song "pretty woman".and all those pb &J sandwiches..thankful to have gotten the chance to meet up with her again and share some our own sorrows together thru the emails we use to share...she is an angel now and forever will stay in our hearts and memories. RIP sally
