Alice Remboldt, 68, Jamestown, ND died Tuesday morning May 19, 2009 in the Ave Maria Village in Jamestown, ND.
Alice F. Maier was born April 16, 1941 at Hazelton, ND, the daughter of Gottlieb Maier and Edna (Schnaidt) Maier. She received her elementary education in the local school and graduated from Streeter High School in 1959. She attended the Town and Country Beauty College in Jamestown.
She and Clyde C. Remboldt were married August 12, 1962 in Streeter, ND. They made their home in Gackle where she worked for David's House of Beauty which she later purchased in Gackle and named it Alice's Beauty Salon. In 1967 they moved to the family farm north of Gackle until 1991 when they retired from farming and moved to Jamestown. In Jamestown Alice went to work for Wal-Mart until 2003. They have continued to reside in Jamestown, ND. She retired in 2004, entered Hi-Acres Manor in April of 2008 and entered the Ave Marie in March of 2009.
She was a member of the St. Lukes Lutheran Church in Streeter, she enjoyed embroidering, crafting, and craft shows, flower gardening and camping.
She is survived by her husband, Clyde, Jamestown, ND, 2 sons, Shawn (Cody) Remboldt, Bismarck, ND; Shay Remboldt, Centerville, MN; her mother, Edna Maier, Streeter, ND; 1 brother, Allen (Marge) Maier, Bismarck, ND; and 3 sisters, Carolyn (James) Burkle, Eagan, MN; Beverly (Arnie) Schumaker, Streeter, ND; Paulette (Steve) Kirschenmann, Streeter, ND; and 2 special nieces, Debbie (Mike) Zimmerman, Streeter, ND; and Kim (Jon) Hummel, Firestone, CO.
She was preceded in death by her father, 2 brothers and 3 sisters.
The funeral Service will be at 10:00 A.M. Saturday May 23, 2009 in St. Luke Lutheran Church in Streeter, ND with Rev. Chris Hogstad, pastor officiating.
The interment will be made in the Gackle Cemetery at a later date.
Visitation - 9:00 AM to 8:00 PM Friday @ the funeral home in Jamestown
