Albert Ketterling, 79, Jamestown, ND died Tuesday December 22, 2009 at his home in Jamestown, ND.

Albert was born August 24, 1930 at Fredonia, ND, the son of Daboldt Ketterling and Elizabeth (Gall) Ketterling. He attended the local rural school near LaMoure, ND where he received his elementary education and grew to manhood.

He and Esther Payton were married September 21, 1950 at Ellendale, ND. They made their home in Jamestown where he worked as a Mechanic and Shop Foreman for Midwest Motors until 1983. In 1986 he worked at the Buffalo Mall until 1993. In 1994 he went to work at Gene's Auto Clinic until retiring in 1999.

He was a member of the Church of the Nazarene in Jamestown.

He is survived by his wife, Esther, Jamestown, ND; 5 children, Marcy (Ron) Harvala, Moorhead, MN; Juli (Chris) Cottrell, Lawrence, KS; Debra Carroll, TX; Mark Ketterling, Jamestown, ND; Diane Ketterling, Sartell, MN; 6 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren, 6 brothers and 3 sisters, Henry Ketterling, LaMoure, ND; Louie Ketterling, Ellendale, ND; Lawrence Ketterling, LaMoure, ND; Daboldt Ketterling, Jamestown, ND; Alvin Ketterling, Mesa, AZ; Palmer Ketterling, Ellsworth, WI; Ella Beglau, Jamestown, ND; Deloris Anderson, Marion, ND; Marceal Nannenga, Mesa, AZ; his best friend and companion, his dog "Buster".

He was preceded in death by his parents, 2 grandchildren, Jason Fahlstom and Jason Dunn, 5 brothers and 1 sister.

The funeral service will be 10:30 A.M. Monday December 28, 2009 at the Church of the Nazarene in Jamestown, ND, with Rev. Richard Reynolds, officiating.

The interment will be made in the Highland Home Cemetery at Jamestown, ND.

Prayer Service - 7:00 P.M. Sunday evening @ the funeral home

Visitation - 9-5 Saturday & 1-8 Sunday @ the funeral home
