Obituary
Darrell ‘Swede' Schuldheisz, 70, Spiritwood, ND died Monday March 21, 2011 at his home under the care of Hospice.
Darrell Schuldheisz was born July 26, 1940, at near Millarton, ND, the son of Jack Schuldheisz and Magdalena (Fischer) Schuldheisz. He attended the local rural school near Jud and graduated from Jud High School in 1958.
He and Colleen Gallagher were married August 25, 1959 at Jamestown, ND. They farmed in the Jud area until moving to Jamestown where he worked at Montgomery Wards and the Southwood Texaco Station.
He and Gloria Kraft were married October 14, 1972 at Jamestown, ND. They made their home in Valley City where he drove truck for Beyers, later moving to Jamestown where he owned and operated Swede's Texaco Station. He later went to work for the Ladish Malting Co and also sub contracting for Cargill until retiring in 2003. They continued to make their home at Spiritwood, ND where they farmed and raised livestock.
He was a member of the Eagles Club in Jamestown.
He is survived by his wife Gloria, Spiritwood, ND; 3 sons, Jeff (Karrine) Schuldheisz, Sacramento, CA; Steve (Sheila) Schuldheisz, Sacramento, CA; Dave Schuldheisz, Spiritwood, ND; 1 step son, Steve Kraft, Fairmount, ND; 10 grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren, 4 sisters, Marlene (Clifford) Gumke, Gackle, ND; Mavis Hample, LaMoure, ND; Shirley Unverferth, Jamestown, ND; Linda (Kelly) Olson, Bismarck, ND.
He was preceded in death by his parents and 1 brother Duane.
The funeral service will be at 2:00 PM Friday March 25, 2011 at the Haut Funeral Chapel, Jamestown, ND with Pastor Bryce Tahran, officiating.
The interment will be at Spiritwood Cemetery, Spiritwood, ND.
