Obituary
Lydia Elizabeth Lunzman, 91, Gackle, ND, died on Thursday, April 19, 2012 at Eventide at Hi-Acres in Jamestown, ND.
Lydia Bellikka was born on February 18, 1921 at Fredonia, ND, the daughter of Jacob Bellikka and Lizzie (Lippo) Bellikka. She attended the local school where she received her elementary education and grew to womanhood in the vicinity.
She and Harold Lunzman were united in marriage on November 22, 1945 in Gackle, ND. They lived in Frederick and Hecla, SD until 1950 when they moved back to her parents homestead farm near Fredonia, ND. In 1964, they moved to Gackle where they continued to reside. In February, 2012, she entered Eventide at Hi-Acres in Jamestown, ND.
Lydia did furniture upholstery for many years for family and local residents. She enjoyed her grandchildren, family and friends who often came to visit.
She was a lifetime member of the Old Apostolic Lutheran Church in rural Gackle.
She is survived by her husband of 66 years and four children: Gene Lunzman (Joanne), Gackle, ND; Arne Lunzman (Kerry), Williston, ND; June Weeks (Matthew), Bismarck, ND; and Holly Suko, Bismarck, ND.
grandchildren: Anthony Lunzman, Heidi Walker, Gregory Lunzman, Heather Kramlich and Amy Lunzman; Beth Paulson, Niky Hanover, Sarah Hervi, Jessica Moir, Brittany Hamilton, Travis Lunzman, Ross Lunzman; Nicole Smedstad, Samuel Lunzman; Aaron Weeks, Emily Weeks and Easton Weeks; Nicholas Suko and Lindsay Severinson
and 26 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, a son, Cornel; four sisters:
Esther, Ellen, Hilda and Ann and five brothers: John, Edwin, Arvo, Paul and Arne.
The funeral service will be at 1:00 PM Monday April 23, 2012 at the Old Apostolic Lutheran Church, south of Gackle, ND with Darrell Bellikka and Andy Hendrickson, officiating.
The internment will be at the Homola Cemetery, south of Gackle, ND.
