Diane Everetts 72 died on July 5, 2012 at St. Aloisius Medical Center in Harvey, ND after a lengthy illness.

Diane Nitschke was born on November 29, 1939 in Jamestown ND to Reinhold and Helga (Bergeson) Nitschke. She graduated from Jamestown High School in 1957.

She married Robert Everetts on December 28th 1959 in St. James Basilica Church in Jamestown. She lived in the Jamestown area for many years raising her family and mainly working at the state hospital in charge of a secretarial pool. In 1979 Diane and her family moved to Bottineau, ND and lived there for a few years and then moved to Harvey, ND, where her last job was at St. Aloisius Medical Center as a CNA.

Some of Diane's favorite things to do were needle work and family gatherings where she enjoyed card games and home cooking.

She is survived by her husband Robert; 1 son and 3 daughters, Cord (Margie Barnett) Everetts; Dynella (Dale) Schmitz; Bridget (Wil Van Leijen) Harkness; Kathleen Hoornaert; 4 grandchildren, Michael (Teresa) Chaney; James and Dillon Schmitz; Joshua (Crystal) Harkness and 1 brother, Steven (Karen) Nitschke.

The memorial service will be at 11:00 AM Wednesday July 11, 2012 at the Haut Funeral Chapel in Jamestown, ND.

The inurnment will be at the Jud Lutheran Cemetery in Jud, ND.

My sister was very good friends with Diane and Diane was always very thoughtful of Marlene's younger sister tagging along. We lost track of each other over the years and I wish we would have had more contact with each other. My prayers and thoughts are with you and your family. Marge

I got to know Diane through my sister Joyce. Joyce and Diane worked together years ago in a bank in Jamestown. Several of the women who worked at the bank also lived together in an apartment on main street. I would like to express my sympathy to Diane's family and also her brother Steven.

I went to school with Diane and we got to know each other quite well in high school but we became best friends after we graduated and were both working in Jamestown. We had a wonderful friendship and even took a trip to California to visit Diane's cousin and her family. Our lives took us in different directions after we were married and we lost contact with each other. Diane had found my address and I had a letter from her over 4 years ago. We had talked a couple of times. Had plans to see each other but things didn't work out. I have always treasured her friendship and have many wonderful memories of her.
