Lorene Wanner, 68, Wishek, ND died early Wednesday morning August 1, 2012 at the St. Alexius Medical Center in Bismarck, ND.
Lorene V. Rueb was born October 22, 1943 at Wishek, ND, the daughter of Simon Rueb and Esther (Thurn) Rueb. She attended the Wishek Public School and graduated from Wishek High School in 1961.
She and LeRoy Wanner were married August 13, 1961 and made their home in Wishek where she was employed at Maggie's Café and later at the Wishek Nursing Home. In 1989 she started L & L Restaurant with her husband and they ran the restaurant until 1999. She went to work at the Wishek Senior Center until 2009.
She was a member of the St. Luke Lutheran Church in Wishek, ND. She was a Sunday School Teacher for many years. She loved to read her Bible, see and hear about her grandchildren and great grandchild.
She is survived by her husband, LeRoy Wanner, Wishek, ND; 4 son, Russell Wanner, Bismarck, ND; Michael Wanner, Fargo, ND; Patrick (Brandi) Wanner, Bismarck, ND; Lance Wanner, MO; 2 daughters, Pamela (Fred) Aipperspach, Meza, AZ; Penelope (Jesse) Welk, Bismarck, ND; 8 grandchildren; 1 great grandchild, and 1 brother, Melvin (Marilynn) Rueb, Boise, ID.
She was preceded in death by her parents, and 1 brother, Stanley.
The Funeral Service will be at 10:30 AM Saturday August 4, 2012 at the St. Luke Lutheran Church in Wishek with Rev. Adam Roberts, officiating.
The interment will be at the St. Luke Lutheran Cemetery in Wishek, ND.
Visitation: 10 - 8 Friday at the Haut Funeral Home in Wishek, ND
Prayer Service: 7PM Friday at St. Lukes Lutheran Church in Wishek.
