Dora Walters

Dora Walters, 87, Wishek, ND died Tuesday, August 12, 2025 at her home in Wishek.

Dora Irene was born February 21, 1938 in Tornow, Germany, the daughter of Max and Paulina (Walhke) Thieme. She grew up in the area. Following schooling she became a secretary in Switzerland.

She and Steven Walters were married in August of 1961. The family moved around a lot over the years.

Dora had a passion for gardening and loved to spend time with her dog, Benji.

Dora is survived by her daughter, Bernice, Burnsville, MN; 4 grandchildren; and one sister, Kaethe (David) Wikkoff, Portland, OR.

She was preceded in death by her husband; parents; and 1 daughter, Janet Haugen.

Interment- Fort Snelling National Cemetery, Minneapolis, MN, next to her husband.
