Obituary

Jerry M. Teske, 83, Jamestown, ND, died February 2, 2025 at Eventide Nursing Home.

Jerry was born October 4, 1941 to Abraham and Frieda (Rott) Teske. He graduated from Jamestown High School in 1959. He began his working career at Rillings Standard Service and Jetstream Gas Stations. At both places he was known for full service, pumping the gas, checking the oil and washing the windows for every customer. From 1964-1969 he was a member of the Army National Guard with training at Fort Leonard Wood, MO where he earned the rank of Staff Sargeant before being honorably discharged. 

In the mid ‘70’s Jerry began working at WedgCor Steel Buildings and worked there 34 years. During his working years he pursued his hobby of riding motorcycles and after retiring became fully committed to his love of traveling on his Harley with various clubs and long-time friends and was a member of the Harley Owner’s Group, and the Jamestown H.O.G. Chapter. He was a member of St. John’s Lutheran Church. Jerry was known as an honest, hard working, fun-loving guy. He also loved watching westerns on tv. 

Jerry leaves behind an ex-wife Geraldine (Yeske), son Gregg (from an earlier marriage), niece and nephew Karen and Scott Klostreich; several close cousins and many good friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents Abraham and Frieda Teske and a sister and brother-in-law, Gloria and George Miller.

Cremation has taken place, and a Celebration of Life will be held Friday, June 6, 2025 at 1:30 pm at Haut Funeral Home with a 3:30 burial service at Highland Home Cemetery.

I lived in the same apartment building that Jerry lived in for 21 years. He was a good neighbor and easy to chat with. I’m sorry to hear of his passing.

Jerry was a friend of mine when we both were younger. I haven't seen him for years but always had good memories of him. We drank a few beers together over the years. I remember he loved his Motorcycles. May he Rest in Peace. Rod Hubbard, Fargo, ND
