Obituary

Leon Presser, 74, Jamestown, ND died June 25, 2016 at Sanford Health in Fargo, ND.

Leon Presser was born January 1, 1942 at Minot, ND the son of Albert Presser and Marie (Blotter) Presser. He received his elementary education in Carrington, ND graduating from the Carrington High School in 1960.

He entered the US Navy June 29, 1960 and was honorably discharged March 30, 1964 with the Rank of EN 2.

He and Mavis Elhard where married April 22, 1966 at Jamestown, ND. They made their home in Jamestown until moving to Oakes, ND where he was a tractor and Ford car mechanic. In 1972 they returned to Jamestown where he was employed at Case Tractor. He later owned and operated his Leon's Implement. Mavis passed away July 12, 2008. In 2009 he retired and has continued reside in Jamestown.

He was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church in Jamestown

He is survived by his children, Belinda Scott, Chad (Denise) Presser, all of Jamestown, ND; 3 grandsons, Kyle (Tanya) Presser, Cameron (Kristi) Presser, Jamestown, ND, Brett (Halei) Presser, Fergus Falls, MN and 4 great grandchildren, Jayda, Keara, Katlyn and Aubree; 2 sisters, Lois (Gerald) Lutman, Carrington, ND; Gloria (Brian) Lettenberger, Itasca, IL.

He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, 1 brother Alan and 1 sister Lona.

Memorial Service - 3:30 PM Sunday July 17, 2016 at the Haut Funeral Chapel, Jamestown, ND, with Pastor Erik Weber, officiating.

Belinda & family, so sorry to hear about the passing of your Dad. My sympathy to you. I saw him a few times when I was working at the truck stop last year. Hugs n prayers. God be with you.

Denise, I was sad today when I saw the notice in the paper that you dad had passed away. I pray you will feel God's comfort as you adjust to not having him around. Miss you girl, love ya, Marva

Belinda and family, We are so sorry Leon has passed. He had such a contagious smile and he always made me laugh. He would come visit me at work with that cute little wiener dog in tow. He will be remembered fondly. God bless. You are in our thoughts and prayers.
