DOCKTER, REO "DOC" of Clarkston, Michigan; July 7, 2016; age 75;

Reo Rudolph Dockter, 75, Clarkston, MI died July 7, 2016 at a result of an automobile accident. Reo was born August 29, 1940 the son of Rudolph Dockter and Esther (Dockter) Dockter. He received his elementary education in Streeter graduating from the Streeter High School in 1958. He worked on the family farm until he enlisted in the United States Air Force.

Loving husband of Deborah for 35 years; Caring father of Robert (Janice) Dockter, Kirk (Angie) Dockter, Aaron (Kim) Dockter, LeRoy Dockter, Marcus (Jen) Dockter, and the late Lauri (Harold) Walker; Beloved grandfather of Aimee (Ricky) Castaneda, Amanda Dockter, Kayla (Joe) Makki, Stephanie (Mike) Ballard, Falesha Koop, Zachary Dockter, Kendal Dockter, Mea Dockter, and Audrey Dockter; Cherished great grandfather of Cecily, Jacob, Gage, Zoey, Karter, and Kacie; Dear brother of Lenard Dockter, Darrell (Marg) Dockter, Jim (Tudy) Dockter, Judy Dockter-Eder, Kenneth (Florence) Dockter, Mark (Kathy) Dockter, Dottie (Kent) Dockter-Elhard and the late Paul Dockter; Son of the late Rudolph and Esther Dockter. Son-in-law of Ed and Betty Bauer; Brother-in-law to George Bauer, Ted (Teri) Bauer, Sam Bauer, and Theresa (Mike Morningstar) Bauer. Also loved by many nieces, nephews, step-grandchildren and dear friends. Mr. Dockter was a veteran of the United States Air Force. He was employed by the General Motors Corporation for over 50 years until his retirement this year and loved motorcycles and cars.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, July 12, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. at Oakland Woods Baptist Church, 5628 Maybee Road, Clarkston. The family will receive friends Monday from 4 to 8 p.m. at the Church. Arrangements by the RIVERSIDE CHAPEL, Simpson-Modetz Funeral Home, 5630 Pontiac Lake Road, Waterford.

Second Funeral Services will be at 11:00 AM Friday July 15, 2016 in St. Luke Lutheran Church in Streeter, ND with Rev. Ryan Ferwerda, pastor officiating.

Visitation: Family will receive friends from 6:30-8:00 PM Thursday at the Funeral Home and1 hour before services at the Church

Burial will take place in St. Lukes Lutheran Cemetery at Streeter, ND.

I get the notices from the funeral home as I grew up in the Streeter area, I noticed Reo lived in Clarkston which is near our farm in Linden, Heard from Jo Kaiser Vilhauer how he lost his life, I am so sorry, those situations never seem to end up well. Praying God will bring you comfort.

Dear Brother Reo.. how are we going to go on without you. I am so heartbroken. You had the biggest heart in our family. I hope you, Mom and Dad and Laurie and Paul are reunited and are watching over us. I hope you can see how everyone thought the world of you. You were one of a kind brother, one of the best. I am going to miss you, I already do. right now I am numb and it still seems so unreal, I wake up each morning hoping it was all a bad dream. I love you Reo and I have always been so proud of you and always will. Rest in Peace Brother Doc.

My dear brother Reo,I am missing you so much and thoughts of all the times we had together are with me all the time. You were my strength and my shoulder to lean on through so many difficult times. You were the best. So many people are missing you. I consider myself so fortunate to have been able to spend so much time with you in the last few months since you retired. And just being with you two weeks before this was a blessing. I will cherish your memories forever. Love you brother. RIP
