Obituary

Sandy Harring, 68, Jamestown, ND died Monday September 26, 2016 at her home in Jamestown.

Sandy was born February 22, 1948 at Jamestown, ND, the daughter of Benjamin and Pauline (Enzminger) Harring. She attended school and graduated from Jamestown High School in 1966. She attended and graduated Summa Cum Laude from Jamestown College with a Bachelor of Art Degree in Addiction Counseling. In 1971 she graduated from ND State School of Science in Dental Radiology. In Montana she became an Abuse Prevention Specialist. In 2001 she also became a Certified Nurse's Assistant.

She moved to Bozeman, MT and later Miles City, MT where she worked as a chemical dependency counselor. In 2005 she moved back to Jamestown where she worked as a counselor at the ND State Hospital and Triumph.

She was a member of the Ya Ya Club.

Sandy is survived by her children, Heather Calkins, Ypsilanti, ND; Tony (Rachael) Calkins, Jamestown, ND; 3 grandchildren, Austin, Shayla and Blayze; 1 great grandchild, Trent; and 1 brother, Benjamin (Claudette) Harring, Weston, WI. She is also survived by her favorite grand dogs, Dozer and Scout.

She was preceded in death by her parents.
