Lorraine Kaseman, 86, Jamestown, ND died early Monday morning October 17, 2016 at Ave Maria Village in Jamestown, ND. Lorraine Meidinger was born August 31, 1930 at Zeeland, ND the daughter of Albert C. Meidinger and Emma (Schwindt) Meidinger. She received her elementary education in the local rural school and grew to womanhood in the vicinity where she helped on the family farm. She and Adam Kaseman were married April 10, 1949 at Zeeland, ND. They made their home on a farm where they farmed until 1956 when they moved to Fargo, ND. In 1957 they moved to Fredonia where Adam drove bulk delivery truck. In 1967 they moved to Gackle where they resided. Following their retirement they continued to reside in Gackle until 2008when they moved to Jamestown. She was a member of Emmanuel Lutheran Church in Gackle, ND. Surviving are her husband, Adam, Jamestown, ND; her children, Susan (JC) Balcom, Mandan, ND; Christine (Dave) Bhend, Chippewa Falls, Wisconsin; Curtis (Kim) Kaseman, Jamestown, ND; Corey Kaseman, Bismarck, ND; 8 grandchildren, 4 step-grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren; her sisters, Luella (Delton) Davis, Bismarck, ND; Alma Rath, Wishek, ND, Alvina (Herman) Sayler, Wishek, ND, Arlene (Melvin) Kaseman, Aberdeen, SD, her brothers, Wilbert (Landina) Meidinger, Wishek, ND, Edgar (Phyllis) Meidinger, Zeeland, ND, Ellon (Rachel) Meidinger, Wishek, ND, and sister-in-law, Delores Meidinger, Wishek, ND. She was preceded in death by her parents, one son Rick and two sisters and two brothers, Gertrude, Viola, Marvin and Wilmer. Funeral Service will be at 10:30 AM Saturday October 22, 2016 in the Emmanuel Lutheran Church in Gackle, ND with Rev. Rick Steele, pastor officiating. Prayer Service: 4:00 PM Friday Haut Funeral Chapel, Jamestown, ND. Interment will be made in the St. Luke Lutheran Cemetery at Wishek, ND. (1:30 PM) Arrangements are by the Haut Funeral Homes in Jamestown, ND. Visitation 9- 5 Friday at the Funeral Home. The death of Mrs. Lorraine Kaseman is the most devastating experiences a family can face. At times, the loss may seem unbearable. Please know that there are those who care and more importantly Psalm 34:18 tells us that "God is near to those that are broken at heart. Jehovah is the God of all comfort. Lorraine and her husband were the age of my parents. they were related to my Kaseman relatives. they knew people and places that I have known. their roots run deep. I love them. I trust they will be waiting at Heaven's gate. Amen. Lorraine's daughter, Sue (kaseman) balcomb, has done some very specials things to keep the stories of Germans from Russia alive and well. I have Sue's books and enjoy them very much.
