Cora Moos

Cora Moos, 87, Jamestown, ND died Monday December 19, 2016 at the Ave Maria Village in Jamestown, ND.

Cora Presler was born February 5, 1929 at Gackle, ND the daughter of John G and Othilda (Domdie) Presler. Cora attended the local rural school and graduated from Gackle High School in 1947. She then taught school in the Fredonia/Gackle area for 3 years.

She and Edwin Moos were married June 25, 1950 at Gackle, ND. They made their home on the farm of his parents, where they resided and continued to farm. Following the death of her husband in 1982 she continued to live on the farm and started cooking at the Gackle Public School. In 1985 she moved into Gackle and cooked at the school until 2002 when she retired. In 2012 she moved into Jamestown.

She was a member of the 1st Congregational Church in Gackle, the American Legion Auxiliary, and the Progress homemakers. Cora was an avid Pinochle player, loved putting puzzles together, going to the casinos, gardening, canning and was a wonderful baker. She especially loved her sisters gathering and traveling with her sisters.

She is survived by her children, Sharon (Archie) Hoffman, Fredonia, ND; Dean (Marianne) Moos, Bismarck, ND; Steven (Patty) Moos, and Jolene Moos, all of Jamestown, ND, 9 grandchildren, Marc (Karina) Hoffman, Neal (Amy) Hoffman, David (Janelle) Moos, Melissa (Justin) Ringennberg, Tyler (Brianne) Moos, Steven (Katie) Moos Jr., Robert Moos, Kayla Brown and Shane Brown; 8 great grandchildren, 3 sisters, Alvina Heidinger, Edgeley, ND; Delores Moser, Fargo, ND; Gertrude Kassman, Nyssa, OR; 2 brothers, Walter (Adeline) Presler, Jamestown, ND and Leroy (Magdalena) Presler, Gackle, ND.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband in 1982, 1 great grandson Brent Hoffman, 1 great granddaughter, Brielle Moos, 2 brothers and 9 sisters.

Funeral Services – 11:00 AM Friday December 23, 2016 at the Emmanuel Lutheran Church in Gackle, ND, with Pastor Rick Steele, officiating

Burial- Gackle Cemetery, Gackle, ND

Visitation – 4:00 – 7:00 PM Thursday @ the Haut Funeral Homes in Jamestown, ND
