Marjorie Hansen

Marjorie M. Hansen, 100, Litchville, ND died early Thursday, January 25, 2017 at Eventide Nursing Home in Jamestown, ND.

Marjorie O’Conner was born August 9, 1916 at Fergus Falls, MN to Thomas J. O’Conner and Mary Rosa (Teberg) O’Conner. At an early age she and her family moved to Litchville, ND where she attended the Litchville Public School until the 11th grade.

She and Clarence M. Hansen were married in April 26 1936 at Sanborn, ND. They made their home in Litchville and Marjorie worked as a cook at the Litchville Café for many years. Following the death of her husband May 14, 1995 she continued to live in Litchville until entering Eventide in 2011.

She was a member of the St. Francis Catholic Church in Marion.

Marjorie is survived by her 4 children, Donna Monson, Litchville, ND, Lynn Slagel, Lisbon, ND, Colleen Sigurdson, Jamestown, ND, Jerome (Esther) Hansen, Eldridge, ND; 16 grandchildren; 34 great grandchildren and many great-great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband; parents; 1 daughter, Dixie; 1 grandchild and 3 sisters.

Memorial Service – 1:30 PM Saturday January 28, 2017 at the Haut Funeral Chapel in Jamestown, ND with Pastor Bryce Tahran, officiating
