Lenora Heller, 89, Jamestown, ND died Friday March 10, 2017 at the Ave Maria Village in Jamestown, ND.

Lenora Hehn was born January 20, 1928 at Streeter, ND, the daughter of Andrew and Regina (Zimmerman) Hehn. She attended the local rural school where she received her elementary education and grew to womanhood in the vicinity.

She and Emanuel Heller were married December 1, 1946 at Gackle, ND. They made their home on the family farm five miles NE of Gackle. Following the death of her husband June 28, 1984, she continued to live on the farm until 1985 when she moved into Gackle. She entered the Gackle Care Center in 2013. In July of 2016 she moved to the Ave Maria Village in Jamestown.

She was a member of the Grace Baptist Church, the Baptist Gleaners and the American Legion Auxiliary.

Lenora is survived by 2 children, Gordon (Kathleen) Heller, Gackle, ND; Carol (Keith) Lura, Elk River, MN; 3 grandchildren, Keaton, Kalen Heller and Stefan Lura; 2 great grandchildren, Emma and Jacob; 1 brother, Arthur (Irene) Hehn, Sterling, CO; 1 sister, Delores Roberts, Arlington, TX, and several nieces and nephews

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, 1 granddaughter, Tiffany Lenore, 7 brothers and 1 sister.

Funeral Service – 11:00 AM Wednesday March 15, 2017 at the Grace Baptist Church in Gackle

Burial – Gackle Cemetery, Gackle, ND

Visitation – 1 hour before the service at the church

I will always remember Lenora as a dear friend. I enjoyed working with her at the care center and at church. May she rest in peace. My sincere sympathy to all her family.
