Obituary

Jesse Swife, 42, Gackle, ND died unexpectedly Monday April 10, 2017 near his home .

Jesse was born July 20 1974 to JoAnn and Tom Swift from Rapid City, SD. Jesse graduated from Brown High School in Sturgis, SD. He lived several years in South Dakota before starting a ranch near Gackle, ND.

Jesse enjoyed anything ranching from his cattle, horses, pigs, and prize chickens. He was an avid Gardener, hunter, and fisherman. Jesse always found time for family and friends. He was always giving something to anyone who stopped by.

To anyone who knew Jesse he was a true cowboy.

Jesse is survived by his parents JoAnn Swift and Scott Ward of Buchanan ND, Tom and Val Swift of Philip, SD, brother and sister in law Josh and Cassie Swift of Broken Bow, Ne, stepsister Heidi and TR Horton of Blackhawk,SD. Nieces Blayklee Ann Swift and Kira Horton. Grandmothers Marjorie Swift of Philip SD, and Aggie Schumaker, Rapid City SD. Several aunts, uncles and cousins.

He was preceded in death by grandfathers Alvin Schumaker and Calvin Swift.

Memorial Service – 10:30 AM Saturday April 15, 2017 at the Haut Funeral Chapel in Jamestown, ND, with Pastor Bryce Tahran, officiating
