Obituary

LuVerne Brobst, 75, Jamestown, ND, died Saturday August 19, 2017 at Ave Maria Village in Jamestown, ND.

LuVerne was born July 4, 1942 at Sanborn, ND, the daughter of Walter and Leona (Fuchs) Brobst. She graduated from North Central High School in Rogers, ND. She later attended Interstate Business College. Her career in business began at Woolworths in Moorhead, then at Jean Nicole and Dayton’s in Bismarck. She moved to Jamestown and worked at MDU, Jamestown Area Chamber of Commerce, Gladstone, Central Dakota Village and County Market.

LuVerne loved reading, baking, gardening, and shopping. She also loved having several Shih Tzu dogs and cheering on the Minnesota Twins.

She is survived by her neighbors and special friends, Dan and Connie, Mary, Cindi and her precious dog, Meika.

LuVerne’s wishes were to be cremated and memorials to be sent to Jamestown Hospice.

My thoughts and prayers are with you at this difficult time. May you find comfort in the Bible promises of a resurrection. Isaiah 25:8 tells us: He will swallow up death forever, and the sovereign Lord Jehovah will wipe away the tears from all faces." Isaiah 26:19 "Your dead will live. My corpses will rise up. Awake and shout joyfully, you residents in the dust! For you dew is as the dew of the morning and the earth will let those powerless in death come to life." My deepest sympathies to the family!

This is a lovely obituary for LuVerne. I am so glad I got to meet such a wonderful lady and help with her care. I enjoyed her so much. I think of her often, but I especially think of her when I'm watching the Twins. Thank you, Connie, Dan, Mary, and Cindi for being such great friends to her. Her terrific smile and warm heart will be greatly missed.
