Genevieve Hoff

Genevieve Hoff, 87, Jamestown, ND died Tuesday May 1, 2018 at the Jamestown Regional Medical Center.

Genevieve Peterson was born June 2, 1930 at the family farmstead near Tappen, ND, the daughter of Godfrey and Hanna (Anderson) Peterson. She attended the local rural school near Pillager, ND where she received her elementary education.

She and Julius Hoff were married November 6, 1954. They made their home in Jamestown where she worked in housekeeping for the ND State Hospital for 25 years. Following the death of her husband in 2008, she continued to live in Jamestown.

She was a member of Eagles Auxiliary since 1998, the American Legion Auxiliary, and served as past president and vice president for the DAV auxiliary. Genny loved dancing with Julius, playing Bingo, watching All Star Wrestling and collecting horses. She also enjoyed listening to the McCoy Show and has a deep love for all her grandchildren.

Genny is survived by her children, Larry (Lori) Hoff, Marvin Hoff, all of Jamestown, ND, Janet (Tom) Seitz, Bismarck, ND; 8 grandchildren, Brody, Allyssa, Kylie, Broc, Amber, Wade, Braxton and Brad, 3 great grandchildren Bryce, Olyvia and Drayton, and 1 sister-in-law, Erna Bauer, Washburn, ND.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, 6 brothers, 4 sisters, and 1 grandson, Cody.
