Obituary

Michael Allen Hoffer, 62, Fargo, ND, passed away peacefully on Wednesday May 2, 2018 at the Villa Maria Nursing, Fargo.

Michael was born October 16, 1955, the son of Bennie and Sylvia (Schock) Hoffer of Streeter, ND. He grew up on the family farm and graduated high school in 1973. He also attended and graduated Bismarck Junior College, and worked at a local car dealership in the parts department where he was well liked.

Later in life, Mike moved to Nebraska where he worked for different farmers, and then enjoyed working for and traveling with the Carnival.

After developing health issues he was admitted to a nursing home in Stewart, NE. In 2010 his family moved him to Villa Maria to be closer to family and friends, where he remained until his passing.

Michael is survived by his brothers, Steve (Judy) Hoffer, Kenny (Lana) Hoffer, sisters, Terry Morris, Lori (Jeff) Kubitz, and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Bennie and Sylvia Hoffer.


Mike’s immediate family would like to express their deepest gratitude for the wonderful care he was given. In lieu of flowers or gifts we are asking memorials be given to Villa Maria, Fargo, ND.

Mike was my whist partner and even though we didn't win alot of games, we had fun bantoring back and forth. Mike will be missed.

Mike will be so missed. I enjoyed every minute I got to spend with him at the Villa Maria, Playing cards, visiting, sitting outside, and many more memories.

Words cannot adequately express our sorrow for your loss .Someone so special can never be forgotten. May you find comfort in happy memories and in the words from our heavenly father Jehovah found at Isaiah 25:8; "He (God) will swallow up death forever. And the Sovereign Lord Jehovah will wipe the tears from all faces" and Rev 21:4 "And he will wipe out every tear from their eyes, and death will be no more, neither will mourning nor outcry nor pain be anymore. The former things have passed away." My thoughts and prayers are with your family and friends.
