Rodney Schmidt, 66, Streeter, ND died Saturday May 12, 2018 on his farm as a result of an ATV accident.

He and Karen Ketterling were married September 15, 1973. They made their home on the farm west of Streeter where they have farmed and he also worked for the NDSU Central Grassland Research Center as a Beef Herdsman.

He was a member of the Ebenezer United Methodist Church in Streeter, ND. His church family meant a great deal to him. His faith for God was unwavering even in the hardest times.

He had an indescribable pride for his three sons. He raised them to be amazing men by showing them a true example of what it means to be a man of faith. He led others by his faith, kindness, and gentle spirit. He loved farming and working hard was a source of strength. Farming was not a job to Rodney. He was a blessing to everyone's life that he touched even if it was a brief moment, or many years. It was a privilege to have a man like Rodney in your life.
