Where can I begin with Mike. Not only was he my uncle but such a close friend with me and Pete Schumacher. Trips to Vegas, golf tournaments and some card games. In1980 I worked for Mike at Western Gear. He was head of programs. They flew a Learjet and he personally saved the 747 Cartlift Program. Mike was a true professional with amazing talent. Mike was a family man who left us way to early. My condolences to Stacy, Mindy and Latelle and the entire Rott family. Also to his best friend Dan Laberda. I truly love and respect Mike. May God have mercy on your soul.

My condolences to Mike's family. I know he was looking forward to our 50th class reunion in 2019 and I was looking forward to "catching up" with him. I am saddened that he will not be with us. Mike was a great classmate. May the Lord bring you comfort during this difficult time of loss. With Sympathy, Linda Maw Patzner

I can not describe the hurt I feel after losing the best friend a person could ever have. I also feel the pain for Stacy, Mindy, LaTelle and their families. Mike always said I was the Brother he never had and I felt he was a part of my family. We initially met on the basketball court in high school as rivals but soon became close friends after reuniting at college. Mike was such a wonderful person to know and feel his friendship can never be replaced. He was such a thoughtful, caring person, and loved Stacy and his family very much. Mike, dear friend, you be missed so much and will always be in my thoughts.

I met Mike in our early teens in 1966. He allowed me some of the brightest memories of my youth. Mike was there when I needed a friend. Although I haven't been in contact with Mike in over four decades, I think of him often. I've yet to meet a person whom I respect and admire more than Mike. He was a very special person. My heartfelt condolences to his family at this difficult time.
