Marion Emma (Schwarz) Halverson was born October 21, 1945, and passed away April 17, 2025, 6:30 AM in the loving care of her family.

Marion was born in Hazen, ND, to the late Emil and Emma Schwarz of Hazen. She is preceded in death by her first husband, Ervin W. Scholz, her second husband, Stanley B. Thompson, Sr. and her current husband, Roger D. Halverson; her brothers, Leanard, Edwin, and Ervin Schwarz; her sisters, Lavina Klippen, Marilyn Sailer, and Linda Schwarz.

Marion is survived by her twin brother, Myron (Connie) Schwarz; sons, Scott Scholz and Shannon (Cheri) Scholz, four grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren, many nieces and nephews, extended family and friends.

Happy times in her life were working in the food service industry, along with baking, crafting and traveling. But most of all, her greatest accomplishments and joy were her loving family more than anything and making memories. She also enjoyed ice fishing with her sons and loving her many dogs.

Marion has gone home to heaven to be with her loved ones.

Services for Marion will be held at 1 PM, Friday, May 2, 2025 at Haut Funeral Home, 1101 5th Ave NE. Jamestown, ND.

My memory may be a bit late but I met Marion at Sam's Club in Bismarck... just two random individuals meeting and waiting for the roasted chicken to be pulled from the oven. She gave me a package of ritz peanut butter crackers and we spoke of blessings and Jesus and food. I received a business card and told her I would come by for a quick visit and bring a roasted chicken. I've never forgotten her and her joy, laughter. I only regret not passing thru Jamestown with that roasted chicken!! My deepest condolences to her family. She was a lovely lady with a wonderful sense of humor and very kind.

I first got to know Marion back in 1983 when I started my GED classes with Scott! Marion was a second mom to me as she took me in a one of her own.She needed anything,and if I could help I was there!There were a lot of great memories too! To many to mention! She was a strong hearted woman but stern at times!She will be missed by many! Rest Easy mom#2 Love you!
