Arlys Kuhn

Arlys Rae Kuhn, 82, Gackle, ND died Tuesday November 13, 2018 at her home south of Gackle.

Arlys Entzi was born July 3, 1936 at her parent’s home near Fredonia, ND, the daughter of Andrew and Esther (Munsch) Entzi. She attended the local rural school where she received her elementary education and grew to womanhood.

On October 20, 1954, Arlys married Marvin Kuhn. The couple lived on the Albert Kuhn farm until 1958 and then moved to their current farmstead 12 miles southeast of Gackle. They retired from farming in 1992. Following the death of her husband April 8, 2018, she continued to live on the farm.

Arlys was a member of the First United Church of Christ in Gackle and the American Legion Auxiliary. She enjoyed spending time outdoors working on her lawn, tending her garden, and caring for the many flowers she loved. Arlys also enjoyed cooking and baking special treats for her family and friends.

She is survived by 3 children: Bruce (Candace) Kuhn, Gackle, ND, Peggy (Robert Grohal) Kuhn, Arlington, VA, and Connie Kuhn, Saint Paul, MN; 1 granddaughter, Kati, Fargo, ND; 1 sister, Lucille Glaesman, Lehr, ND; 2 sisters-in-law, Pat Entzi, Wishek, ND, and DeLores Kuhn, Jud, ND; 4 brothers-in-law, Alvin (Lucille) Kuhn, McMinnville, OR; Donald (Mona Arch) Kuhn, Mesa, AZ; Norman (Emily) Kuhn, Mesa, AZ; Jim (Daphne) Kuhn, Portland, OR; and many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband and 3 brothers.
