Prayers for comfort Darrel, Bonnie, and families. There is great rejoicing in heaven as Bertha is united with all her family and friends who have gone on before her. Cherish the memories. Hugs from AZ.

There are too many thoughts and memories to share! Bertha was an awesome aunt. One memory comes to mind very often. Bertha and some of her sisters, usually Christina, Maggie, Lena, and quite often Lydia, would get together at one home to make a German dish. One in particular was a dumpling stuffed with ham, potatoes, and onions. Each prepared it her own way, in her own kettle, and seasoned it her way. Each, including Aunt Bertha would say "It just didn't turn out right!" Each sister's dish was always awesome! We would eat until we couldn't any more. Each was so humble! Bertha was a great cook, and a great host, but always humble!

As I visited, all too infrequently, the past few years, Bertha would tell me that she was ready to be with the Lord! I knew she was ready. Each time I would tell her that she wasn't finished with God's work for her here on earth or He would take her home. Bertha has finished her work here! Well done good and faithful servant! God has taken her home! Oh, what a joy that will be!
