Bert,<br>You are gone way too soon. I am going to miss you, even though we haven't seen each other for awhile. You were a kind and gentle soul and you will be missed. You were one of my first friends in Bismarck and I cherish those memories.

To Alberta's son, Drew, and husband Mike and the Martin family, My prayerful sympathy. I was Alberta's first grade teacher at Cathedral Grade School. (at that time I was known as Sister Yvonne) She was a delightful student. She certainly was brave through all her cancer struggles. I admire her for her commitment to teaching and working with young people...I am sure she made a most positive impact on the lives of many, students and parents alike. So sorry to hear this news. The Martin family was always close to our family. It all started with living across the street from each other many years ago. Marge always enjoyed the family get togethers when the kids were younger. A donation will be made to the Anne Carlson school in Berta's memory from the Hartwick family. We are sorry for your loss.

Our thoughts and prayers are with you. I looked up to Berta as a kind, energetic and respectful person and was proud to have her a cousin. She always reminded me of Great Grandma Anna Martin. She will be remembered with love, Nancy (Hartwick) Paul
