Obituary
Rosemary Bender, 75, Jamestown, ND died Thursday, March 5, 2020 at Eventide Nursing Home in Jamestown.
Rosemary was born in Logan County, North Dakota on March 31, 1944, the daughter of Edward and Emma (Kirschenmann) Bender. She resided in Streeter, ND until April 1984 when she moved to Jamestown where she entered residential and vocational services at Alpha Opportunities. During her time with Alpha, she worked half days at the State Hospital cleaning and preparing vegetables. She very much enjoyed having coffee and visiting with residents and staff.
She also enjoyed taking care of plants, going to church, shopping and attending various community events. She like watching “The Price is Right” and “Let’s Make a Deal”. Rosemary entered Eventide nursing home in October of 2019.
Rosemary is survived by her brother, Selmer Bender, Jamestown; and numerous cousins.
She was preceded in death by her parents and two siblings in infancy.
Thank you to the staff at Alpha Opportunities and South Central Human Service Center for the many years of care given to Rosemary. Also, thank you to the staff at Eventide- Jamestown and Jamestown Regional Medical Center Hospice.
Memorial Service- 11:00 AM Monday, March 9, 2020 at the Haut Funeral Chapel, Jamestown, ND.
Burial- Zion Reformed Cemetery, West of Streeter, ND.
