Obituary

Bernie Trzpuc, 72, Jamestown, ND died Friday April 10, 2020 at Sanford Health in Fargo, ND.

Bernie was born November 20, 1947 at Valley City, ND, the son of Jim and Mary (Matt) Trzpuc. He attended school at Marion and graduated from Marion High School in 1965. He also attended ND State School of Science at Wahpeton.

He and Jane Kelsch were married October 7, 1972 at Jamestown and made their home here. Bernie worked at Haybusters as a welder for many years. Bernie then went to work for Stutsman County as an equipment operator.

Bernie was a member of the Basilica of St. James in Jamestown, and also a member of the Knights of Columbus.

He is survived by his wife, Jane, Jamestown, ND; 2 sons, Brandon and Casey (Kayla), 1 grandson, Thatcher; and 2 sisters, Mary Lou “Suz” Trzpuc and Cindy Sinclair, all of Jamestown.

He was preceded in death by his parents, 1 brother James Duane and 1 sister Linda Jane Niess.

 

Bernie’s wishes were to have no services.

So sad to lose classmate. I'm so thankful that we got to meet with Bernie & Jane at the KC's this winter. Had a good visit and did a lot of reminiscing! I remember when we were in the 4th grade he sat right behind me and I wasn't very happy about that !! As we got older, we got to be friends and then when we got a lot older, very good friends, He sure had fun as a kid tho!! I think it brought a few gray hairs to Mary!! You had to Love that guy!!! lots of good memories, Class of '65!!
