Michael Jon Keyes, 59, Ypsilanti, ND died Wednesday January 6, 2021 at Essential Health if Fargo, ND.

Mike was born March 11, 1961 at Jamestown, ND, the son of Dick and Joan (Duven) Keyes. He attended school in Jamestown and graduated from Jamestown High School.

Mike worked at Benson Quinn for about 10 years, later working at the ND State Hospital. He then worked at Dakota Brands for 10 years until going to work at the Crisis Unit in Jamestown.

He enjoyed hanging out with his dog Amos and cat Cleo, spending time in the park, time at his parent’s cabin at Lake Ashtabula, and especially time with his mom and sister.

Mike is survived by his brother, Tim (Kimberly) Keyes, Alfred, ND; sister, Tracey Wentland, Jamestown, ND; many nieces and nephews, and special friend, Mary Moores.

Michael was a sweet boy who just wanted to belong. He just didn't see that he all always did. We love him and will so dearly miss him.

Mike was the boy across the street when I lived in Jamestown. He could always be counted on to join in on whatever the neighborhood kids were doing - sledding, playing cops & robbers, hiking all over the pasture that used to be behind my house. We hiked all the way across to the railroad round house one summer day. One winter, I helped him with his paper route. What fun delivering papers on a snowmobile! Mike will be greatly missed, but will always be part of my childhood memories

RIP my old friend. We met when I was 15. Had a lot of adventures and a lot of explaining. Not sure why you left so soon. But hope it is peaceful and kind. Like you. Love you Tori
