Daddy, it was truly a blessing to be called your daughter. Wherever we have lived whether it be Colorado, Alaska or now even North Dakota, people always ask are you Howards kids. We say yes, and there is always a story of something you said or did that puts a smile on that persons face. Even the morning you left this earth, the nurse was telling us how you made her smile. I thank the Lord that I was one of Howards kids.

My fondest memory of Howard was his steadfast faith and love for Christ. He sat on the left side, back row of our sanctuary at church and I always felt like he was serving as a spiritual centurion guarding the Body of Christ from attacks of the enemy. If you sat near him, he would often pass you a mint! Now his grandsons sit on the left side, back row of the church.
