Lauren, Barb, Kenzie, Ben, and families,
I’m so sorry to hear of Ken’s passing. I’ll always remember his quiet cowboy strength, unbelievable work ethic, kind smile (+ epic mustache), and his love and helpfulness to others. I have so many fond memories of him at your house, cabin, and seeing him in his element at the SD ranch. Sending so much love, hugs, and prayers to you all.

Who could forget all the fun times with Ken, Jay and Barb at the Mickelsons ranch where we were handed a job by Brick before the car engine was turned off! Branding was the supreme event where we were rolled out of bed at O dark thirty to ride horses and round up all the cattle for branding, not allowed to have a beer until at least 1/2 the herd was done! Our favorite times were watching Jay’s Eastern college friends dressed in new wranglers and white shirts take a calf down only to be threatened should they let go before the pink eye spray, ear notching, castrating and branding was complete and see them get dragged face down thru the mud and manure!! What a day! I can still see Kenny Giggling as they flew through the corral mud, white shirts no longer white! I still tell those stories to this day! Ride free my friend until we meet again (everyone else will get the milking done) 🏇🏻
