Robert A. Ruff, (aka “Big Bob”) 64, Edgeley, ND died Thursday January 20, 2022 near Jamestown, ND.

Bob was born June 26, 1957 at Jamestown, ND, the son Clifford and Betty (Hauck) Ruff. He was raised on the family farm north of Edgeley and attended Edgeley Public School.

He entered the Army National Guard in 1975, served in the 43rd Engineering Battlion and was discharged in 1976 with the rank of Private First Class.

Robert had many job traits from driving truck, working road construction to agriculture.

Robert was a member of the Methodist Church. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and especially riding his Harley Davidson motorcycle. He was an active member of the Crusader’s Motor Cycle Club. Robert was a big man with even a bigger heart.

He is survived by his mother, Betty Ruff, Jamestown, ND; 2 brothers, Myron (LaRae) Ruff, Edgeley, ND; Clayton (Kelli) Ruff, Underwood, ND; 1 sister, Versella (Pat) Nelson, Oakes, ND and several nieces and nephews.

Robert was preceded in death by his father, Clifford Ruff.

I met Bob, over 30 years ago, and I knew God, had put, a very wonderful, kind, lovely, caring man on this earth. You could never ask for a better friend, for he would be there, to help, no matter the situation. He will be so sadly missed, by many that knew him.
