Obituary

Michael Carpenter, 39, Bismarck, ND died Tuesday February 15, 2022 at his home in Bismarck.

Michael was born June 27, 1982 at Jamestown, ND, the son of Jeffrey and Anne (Grohnke) Carpenter. He attended school at Valley City and graduated from Valley City High School in 2001. He later attended Rasmussen Business College where he received his BS degree in business.

Michael worked in the Valley City and Jamestown area at various jobs and lately was manager at the Dollar Tree in Bismarck.

He is survived by his mother, Anne Hovland, Wimbledon, ND; 5 siblings, Callie Carpenter, Chase Carpenter, Chris Carpenter, all of Valley City, ND; Tanner Hovland, Ashland, WI; Tessa (Travis) Humphrey, Lincoln, ND; 4 nieces, Matsi, Marliegh, Emily and Elleah; grandmothers, Jeanette Larson, Valley City, ND and Charlotte Grohnke, Jamestown, ND; and special friend Zoe.

He was preceded in death by his father in 2019.

Memorial Service will be held in the spring.
