Obituary

Georgene Schiller was born in Grafton, ND to John and Georgia (Barta) Schiller on August 14, 1933. She was educated and raised in the Minto, ND area. In August of 1950 she married Raymond Kowalski. They had 4 children, Gail, Karen, Randy, and Kelly. Ray passed in 1985. She then married Robert Robinson in Grand Forks, ND in September 1988. He passed away in November of that year. She moved to the Jamestown area where she and her companion Joe formed a band called JR’s. The band traveled as far south as Texas to entertain. Her love of music and singing was her favorite thing to do, which led her to learn the keyboard later in life. We will cherish her music in years to come. She spent her last few years at The Manor in Edgeley, ND and in Jamestown at SMP- Ave Maria. The family appreciates the care and love she received by caring staff members.

Georgene was a member of the Sacred Heart Catholic Church Choir, Minto, ND and the Minto Bridge Club.

She is survived by, sons, Randy (Peggy) Kowalski, Kelly ( Lisa) Kowalski; siblings, Doris Kiedrowski, John (friend-Peggy) Schiller, Dennis (Karen) Schiller, Jody Hanson; son-in-law, Leon Wysocki, 9 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren. She is survived by special companion, Joe Jangula and his families, along with daughters of the heart, Barb Barnick and Tammy Jangula. Several nieces and nephews also survive.

She was preceded in death by, daughters, Gail and Karen; sisters, Rita Davis and Mary Slominski; brothers-in-law, Ray Davis, Harry Slominski, Jim Hanson, and Adrian Kiedrowski; and sisters-in-law, Gloria Schiller and Delane Schiller.

Memorials should be directed to the Minto Community Center, Minto, ND or the Minto Fire Department in her name.

Memorial Service- Friday, November 14, 2025, 11 AM, Haut Funeral Home,1101 5th Ave. NE, Jamestown with lunch following at the funeral home.

Inurnment-Saturday, November 15,2025, 11 AM, Sacred Heart Cemetery, Minto, ND. with lunch at the Minto, ND Community Center following.

I'm so sorry to hear about the passing of your mom. I look back on all the wonderful, loud and chaotic times we had in Minto in our younger years, at your house and Grandma Kowalski's. It was so much fun since all of us cousins were so close in age. Those were the days of great family gatherings! We will hold those memories in our hearts as we send our love and prayers to you and your family.
