Elna Mackenzie

"Mrs. MacKenzie" was my teacher in grade school that we all loved and admired.. She was a mother to my friend Pam going through grade school and high school. Later in life she then became my "bingo" friend. A very classy lady and will be missed by many. Prayers to the family. Cherish those memories you have!

So sorry to hear of your loss; it's one felt by not only your family, but the community as a whole. I knew Elna as "Mrs. Mac," and she was my favorite teacher. She was knowledgeable, but also encouraging and concerned about her students. Beyond being a great teacher though, she inspired me as a young girl because she was smart, but also gorgeous and completely no nonsense: she had a fierce, indomitable spirit! My daughter's middle name is Mackenzie in her honor. She will be deeply missed.
