Deborah Schott, 73, Alfred, ND died Friday May 19, 2023 at her home due to an atv accident.
Deb was born June 5, 1949 in Jamestown, ND, the daughter of Albert and LaRaine (Otto) Dorr-Dockter. She attended Gackle Public School and graduated Gackle High School in 1967. She attended Valley City State College and received her bachelor of science degree in Education.
Deb and Neil Schott were married May 21, 1977 at Hillsboro, ND. They made their home on the farm east of Gackle. She taught school at Gackle, Jud, Streeter and the Anne Carlson Center for 23 years. After retiring from teaching, she worked at Cavendish Farms for a short time and then for Newman Signs for a few years until her retirement.
She is survived by her husband, Neil, Alfred, ND; sister Jenniece (Myron) Sommerfeld, , Valley City, ND; brother Lance (Doug) Dockter, Willmar, MN; brother and sister-in-law, Jeff and Linda Schott, Lynn Schott; nieces, Bonnie Sommerfeld, Jessica Bitz, nephews, Randy Schott, Rick Schott and Jason Schott; foreign exchange daughters, Nina (Martin) Forsberg, their children, Sondra and Markus all of Landvetter, Sweden; Linnea (Mats) Anderson, their children, Benjamin and Johanns, Nora, Sweden; special friends Rob and Katie Ruff and daughters, McKayla, Journey and Joy
Deb was preceded in death by her infant son Benjamin in 1986, her mother, LaRaine and fathers, Albert Dorr and Howard Dockter.
