Shirley Iszler

Shirley Iszler, 82, Streeter, ND died Monday, June 26, 2023 at Jamestown Regional Medical Center in Jamestown, ND.

Shirley Haas was born February 1, 1941 at Eureka, SD the daughter of Ben and Pauline (Hieb) Haas.  She grew up in the Zeeland and Wishek, ND area before graduating from Bismarck High School.  She then attended Westmar College in Le Mars, IA.

She and Norlyn Iszler were married November 2, 1962 at Hagerstown, MD; they made their home initially in Hagerstown followed by Grafton, ND, Ft. Collins, CO, Oberlin, KS, Longmont, CO, Naples, FL and Jackson Hole, WY.  Shirley was a homemaker for a couple of years, then a bank teller, and also managed a luggage store.  In 2000 they moved to the farm near Streeter for retirement.

She enjoyed gardening, cooking, having friends/family over for coffee, puzzling in the cold winter, and anything related to Snoopy, the beagle from Peanuts cartoon.

Shirley is survived by her husband; 2 children, Melanie Albrecht, Lakewood, CO and Nathan Iszler, Powder Springs, CO; 5 grandchildren, Cameron Iszler, Jordan Albrecht, Addison Iszler, Jake Albrecht and Greyson Iszler.

She was preceded in death by her parents and 1 sister Leona Gruebele.
