Obituary

Vern William Dally, 67, Jamestown, ND passed on September 26th, 2023. Doing what he loves best, traveling the open road to his next adventure.

Vern was the 3rd child born to Lyle and Wilma (Erickson) on June 22, 1956. Vern graduated in 1974 from Jamestown High School.  He married his high school sweetheart, Sharon (Williams). He was dedicated to the Spiritwood school board and political interests in the community. Vern spent his life farming and raising his children on the same farm he grew up on.

Vern met the love of his life Gwen Shannon in 2006. Married in 2008. They enjoyed traveling the world sightseeing, attending concerts and events, spending time with his grandchildren, gardening, canning, and watching football. GO Packers / Bison.

He is proceeded in death by his parents, two sisters Karen Dally and Lola Danielson. Brother-in-laws Craig Amundson and Gary Danielson, Granddaughter Theresa

He is survived by his wife Gwen, children Bill (Amy Bonnett) Dally, Renae (Travis) Stahlecker. Kimberly (Timothy) Blum, Joesph (Marci) Shannon, one sister Elaine Amundson, and 11 grandchildren, Nathan, Alex, Erick, Isaac, Chloe, TJ, Lily, David, Hannah, William, and Emma, nephew Randy (Liza) and niece Sheri Danielson, Brothers-in-Laws Randy (Marina) Voeltz and Andy (Tiara) Voeltz aunt Evelyn Clemens and many cousins.

My sympathy to you Gwen and all the family. Vern had a great smile and was always nice to me ( I’ve known him since I was a young girl). He liked to visit and always had a story to tell. I loved how he enjoyed gardening, canning, traveling and spending time with his family. Vern had a huge heart. He will be missed by many. Hugs and love.
