Today I learned I’ve lost a dear friend. Dale and I have visited on the phone ever since we met about five years ago. For the past three years we’ve talked every day, often more than once. We would get together in person whenever we could, but that didn’t happen as often as we would’ve liked, as I live in Bismarck and he was in Jamestown.
Dale was one of the most lovable, down-to-earth people I have ever known, with an abundance of common sense and a great sense of humor. I always looked forward to visiting with him, as he always brightened my day.
I will miss him terribly. My heart goes out to his large family, all of whom I’m certain will miss him as much as I will.

It is times like these that comfort seems so far away.
It will get closer as these difficult days pass
With heavy hearts and from too far away, we send many thoughts and prayers.
Uncle Dale, laugh with our dad and tell him we still love and miss him. See you and your brothers on the other side. With much respect and admiration, your Texas family, God bless and Godspeed. Prayers for your grieving loved ones, both young and old.
Sandy, Polly, Buddy-
( Lyle Herman Jr.) and children.
