Ronald Koble

Ronald Koble, 72, Carrington, ND, died Sunday, November 1, 2026, at Jamestown Regional Medical Center in Jamestown, ND.

Ron Kasper Koble was born September 5, 1954, in Rugby, ND, the son of Kasper and Elizabeth (Burckhard) Koble. He attended school in the area through the ninth grade before leaving school to work full-time on the family farm.

Ron and Starr Larson were married July 11, 1975, in Devils Lake, ND. They made their home in Devils Lake, where Ron worked as a truck driver for PepsiCo. In the late 1970s, the family moved to Jamestown, where Ron continued his career in trucking, working for a local distribution company, Coca-Cola, and Davis Trucking.

The family later moved to Woodworth, ND, where Ron worked as a road grader operator for Stutsman County. In 1996, they relocated to Medina, ND, where he continued operating a road grader and also drove school bus. In 2024, Ron and Starr moved to Carrington, ND, where they continued to make their home.

In his spare time, Ron enjoyed deer hunting, fishing, and cheering on his favorite football team, the Green Bay Packers.

Ron is survived by his wife, Starr; one son, Shad (Tia Prodzinski), Jamestown, ND; grandson, Ian; siblings, Leonard, Fargo, ND, Al (Paulette), Montana, and Marlene, Washington; sisters-in-law, Marlene, Arizona, and Diane, Bismarck, ND; and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and five siblings, Ray, Kathy, Evelyn, Geri, and Joe.
