Obituary

Charles Howard Simmons, Jamestown, ND, went home to the Lord he loved, Wednesday, August 5, 2026 at HIA Heather's House, Fargo, ND.

Charles was born May 5, 1939 to Guy and Cecelia (Stampka) Simmons and lived in Jamestown until recently being cared for in Fargo. Charles was an avid outdoorsman. He worked as a dental technician throughout his life.

Charles married DeAnna Mae Simmons and together they had and raised one daughter, Amy. The loves of their lives were the grandchildren that came into their lives.

Charles is survived by one daughter, Amy Austin; grandchildren, Jason Espinosa, Josiah Espinosa, Raul Wolf IV, and SeaAira Wolf, brother-in-law Donald Farthing, Jr and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his wife, parents and grandson, Matthew Charles Simmons; sisters, Caroline Nordtvedt, Betty Simmons, Muriel Edgekoski; brothers, Jack and Bob Simmons; sister-in-law, Mary Simmons, and brother-in-law, Art Edgekoski.

FUNERAL SERVICE-Thursday, August 20, 2026, 1 PM, Haut Funeral Home, Jamestown, ND.

INTERMENT-Thursday, August 20, 2026, 3:15 PM, Sacred Heart Cemetery, Fried, ND.

Sorry to hear about Charles. I kept in contact with him the last several months. He was going through a lot. I’m glad he’s finally in the next life where things will get sorted out.
