Obituary

Dale Maureen Guderjahn, 77, of Jamestown, North Dakota, passed away peacefully at her home on Wednesday, May 20, 2026. Dale was born on May 11, 1949, in Tacoma, Washington, to Edwin and Beverlee Johnson.

Dale is survived by her loving husband, Russel Guderjahn; her children, Amy (Wayne) Prigge of Jamestown, ND, Richard (Kathy) Guderjahn of Eagan, MN, DeAnne (Brandon) Beavers of Moorhead, MN, Julie (James) Vargas of Horace, ND. She also leaves behind eight grandchildren and four great-grandchildren who brought great joy to her life.

She is further survived by her sisters, Hope (Jim) Welch of Oregon, Jan Houle of Cando, ND, and Tami Thomas of Rolette, ND.

Dale was preceded in death by her parents, Edwin and Beverlee Johnson; her sisters, Lori Wegleitner and Vickie Smith; and her brothers, Paul Johnson and Lee Johnson.



Memorial Service- 11:00 AM Wednesday, June 3, 2026 at Haut Funeral Home in Jamestown, ND with Pastor Susan Haukaas, officiating.

Interment- 2:00 PM Wednesday, June 3, 2026 at Sunset Memorial Gardens in Jamestown.

Arrangements- Haut Funeral Home, Jamestown, ND.

Gayle and I send our thoughts and prayers to the Guderjahn Family. We knew Dale and Russ for many years going back to the early years of Western Gear. Gayle and Dale were both expecting about the same time so Russ and I grad a bet as to who would be the first to deliver. The vet was a six pack of beer and I won by a couple days. I played softball with Russ for many years and Dale and Gayle were there for every game and tournament. We also had many times together either at their house or ours. God Bless you and give you Peace and Comfort.

So sorry to hear. Leah and I will always remember the Parshall years. Rus and I coaching wrestling. The many visits, card playing and a few beverages. You were both so very much in love. Like Leah and I you two were married young and it was truly a death toll us part relationship. It surprised us although our time is growing short, too. Rus, I don't have to tell you what a wonder bride you had, and the great children. I think our son Jay is close to Amy's age. I feel your positive attitude and strong faith will help you through this...maybe even better than Dale could have. I am going to say Dale was the best cheerleader, best team supporter, best friend to always have on your side. I played softball with Russ for about 15 years, I won horseshoe championships with Russ many times, and it did not make any difference is we were playing at 7:00 a.m., or in 95 degrees, Dale was always there. She loved cheering us on, loved visiting between games, loved life. I am going to miss you Dale, rest in peace. Many thoughts and prayers for all of the family. Dallas

We met Dale at the fun Western Gear employee office & company events! Russ & Dale were a fun pair & always enjoyed Dale. We are so sorry to hear this news. Russ & your children, you are all in our thoughts & prayers during this sad time. Phyllis & Doug Benson

Dale and Russ were our neighbors, we would get together often to visit and solve world problems. We moved to Billings for my wife's health, she passed in April. Dale will be missed. My family offers condolences and prayers.
