Ranee' Vyvyan

Ranee' Vyvyan, 69, of Gackle, North Dakota, died from injuries sustained in her house prior to the fire reported on May 2, 2026. Born on April 24, 1957, in Racine, Wisconsin, Ranee' lived a life filled with love for her family and a passion for the outdoors.

She was predeceased by her son James Vyvyan, whose memory she carried close to her heart. She was a cherished "Nama" to her four grandchildren: Mabelyn Metz, William Metz, Alexis Vyvyan, and Gavin Vyvyan. Her grandchildren brought immense joy to her life, and she treasured every moment spent with them.

She is survived by her daughter Tanya Metz, husband (son-in-law) Jon Metz, (grandaughter) Mabelyn Metz, (grandson) William Metz, (grandaughter) Alexis Vyvyan, and (grandson) Gavin Vyvyan.

She is also survived by her siblings: brothers John Vyvyan, Jr. and Ben Vyvyan, and sister Sherry York. Ranee' was predeceased by her parents Linda Little and John Vyvyan, as well as her brother Wayne Vyvyan.

Ranee' had a deep appreciation for nature and enjoyed camping trips and summer campfires surrounded by family. She especially loved ice fishing during the winter months and took great delight in preparing chili to share with loved ones after a day on the ice. Hosting family gatherings and celebrating holidays brought her great happiness, as did cheering on football games during lively game nights.

Her unwavering love and dedication to her family were evident in every aspect of her life. Whether organizing memorable events or simply spending quality time together, Ranee' created countless cherished moments that will be fondly remembered by all who knew her.

There will be no services at this time, a burial service will be held in the near future, details will be provided on Facebook.

May Ranee's memory rest forever in our hearts, though she is no longer with us, her spirit lives on in every act of kindness we do in her name.
