Kathy Grenz, 77, Jamestown, ND died Friday, April 24, 2026 at her home in Jamestown.
Kathy was born January 13, 1949 at Fargo, ND the daughter of Ohmer and Esther (Schlenker) Grenz. She grew up on the family farm near Kulm. The family moved to Jamestown in the 1960s. She attended secretarial school at Wahpeton. She worked for a local dentist in Jamestown before working with child support enforcement for 20 years and then worked with a government ag program before retiring at 62.
Kathy enjoyed animals; dogs, cats, and specifically horses, she traveled with a family from New Rockford who showed Morgan Horses. She also loved reading, her plants and staying in touch with friends. Later in life she was able to track down her biological mother, and meet her half sister, Linda.
She is survived by brother, Tim; many cousins, nieces, nephews and her friend Jolene Mickelsen.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
